L.A. Area DB2 Users Group

The future of mainframe management and how traditional product-centric
administration transcends into intelligent role-based experiences such as a
single workspace created to improve the user experience by unifying data,
performance and systems health, as well as provide simple navigation into
tasks, objects, session history and more.

§ An environment is enabled where all the disparate functions required by a
DBA for specific tasks are provided in a consistent way, where knowledge is
presented simply and the output from multiple tools can be used as input to
other tools.

§ This role-based capability radically enhances the overall user experience
to give all levels and roles of users, including expert and novice
technicians, a much better work environment and vast efficiency
improvements.

§ Something beyond mere "dashboard" visual reporting, this role-based
workspace can chart, trend, and graph thousands of data points, including
data, performance metrics, and time ranges vs. pouring over tabular text
data.

The Los Angeles Area DB2 Users Group (LAADB2UG) is a user supported not-for-profit group which normally meets the first Thursday of the month on a quarterly basis. The LAADB2UG Steering Committee is dedicated to providing it's members with current technical information and support that will assist them in performing their jobs as Database Administrators. System and Application programmers and Data Management professionals. This is accomplished through a series of guest speakers, technical seminars, and a tools fair scheduled throughout the year. LAADB2UG retains the right to refuse admission to anyone.
