Title: DB2 SQL PL Stored Procedures: User Experiences in Implementation

SQL Procedure Language (SQL PL) procedures have proven to be an invaluable tool for mid-tier developers on both DB2 LUW and z/OS particularly for those with little z/OS experience.DB2 for z/OS introduced Native SQL Procedures are quick and easy to develop, test, and debug.  They perform well and with a little forethought are easy to deploy across environments. This presentation takes a look at SQL PL Procedures development Lifecycle and our client experiences in implementation.  We will discuss SQLPLs strengths and limitations, best practices, interfacing with existing change management tools and the latest enhancements. We will also look at the role of IBM Data Studio in the development life cycle.
